Welcome Speech

Dear Colleagues, Friends, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is a great pleasure and honour for us to invite you to Prague, the host city of 11th Central European Orthopaedic Congress after a number of very succesful meetings in the most beautiful cities of Central Europe.

From the beginning of 1996 we had the opportunity to visit 10 very beautiful cities of different European countries and had the possibility to participate on fruitfull scientific meetings. By 2018 we will have finished the second round of the circulation and we can look back with pride on 10 congresses with very high scientific level.

All participants like this congress due to nice, friendly athmosphere and posibillity to learn not only the orthopaedy and traumatology, but also something from the history and traditions of all involved countries.

After two congresses on Jadran sea (Portorož and Split) we are moving to the Heart of Europe. Organizing committee hopes it will be the same success as the previous ones, we will celebrate 700 years of birth of King Charles' birth and we plan to arrange not only social, but also scientific program to this occasion.

We believe you will like Prague, the scientific program and Czech hospitality and we shall continue in this praisworthy activity in future.

The topics for this meeting have been selected in order to guarantee an interesting and stimulating discussion. The meeting will be held at hotel Diplomat, near by Prague Casle and close to the centre, will have an opportunity to discover and enjoy the historical part of the city.
